The Hidden History of the United Nations

The United Nations was not, as is commonly thought, brought into existence only following the Second World War but was, in fact, created for winning the war and establishing a lasting peace.

On this page, I am pleased to showcase a number of wartime posters and other exhibits that promoted the United Nations during wartime.

This paper, which I presented to the Transatlantic Studies Association, aims to demonstrate the wartime role of the United Nations and its continuity with the United Nations Organisation created by the Charter. It is entitled The United Nations role in World War II: How they Helped defeat Hitler and it also highlights many more wartime UN exhibits.
